Eli Roth, gorehound and current inglourious basterd, has told Shocktillyoudrop.com that he has no interest in making Hostel Part III, or Cabin Fever 2.
"If I started something and other people want to continue it, go for it. I'm just not involved in any way," he said. "There's no negativity about it. I'm all for sequels, as long as it's a well-made movie." He's also no longer involved with Stephen King adaptation Cell. "I kind of quietly walked away from that one..."
With an almost Robert Rodriguez-level slate of activity though, Roth still has plenty on the go. Instead, Roth is focusing on his PG-13 sci-fi actioner, Endangered Species, although he still hasn't revealed any more** than he told us back in May**, at Cannes, other than to hint that the Jurassic Park-esque movie may start filming later this year.
As well as that, Roth is also producing a remake of Tobe Hooper's Funhouse; a kung-fu movie with Wu-Tan's RZA called The Man With the Iron Fist; he's in post-production on exorcism movie Cotton; and he's still keen on his fake Grindhouse trailer, Thanksgiving. Busy guy...
