Hey, is that Enrico Palazzo? No, it's Ed Helms, who'll be doing his best take on the late Leslie Nielsen's immortal cock-up-loving cop Frank Drebin, now Paramount has decided to give the Naked Gun franchise the (re)boot.

In the writers' dugout are **Night At The Museum **scribes Thomas Lennon and R. Ben Garant. They wrote the planned **Baywatch **movie, as well as Rent A Ghost and the recently-announced Guinea Pigging, which is deemed worthy of Mitch Hurwitz (of Arrested Development fame) to direct, which is high praise indeed.

There are precious few details as to what the plot of the film will be - or what number it will have at the end of it - but die-hard Drebin lovers will no doubt be praying that Helms doesn't get any ideas about bleaching his hair white or bringing a stuffed beaver on set for no particular reason.

There's also no news as to whether Jim Abrahams, David Zucker and Jerry Zucker will be directly involved, despite being the creators of the original TV show, Police Squad!, and the Naked Gun trilogy itself.

But with the original series being so close to so many people's hearts, the question now is: how does this make you feel? Will The Hangover's (and The US Office's) Ed Helms cut the mustard? And will The Naked Gun really be the same without what Nielsen brought to the table (three arms, occasionally)? Let us know in the comment box below.
