Eclipse Will Play In Imax

You knew it was coming. After New Moon took in trillions, it was only a matter of time before the bods at Imax came calling.

So it goes: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which Hard Candy's David Slade is even now labouring to shove through post-production, will be digitally remastered for the biggest screens.

It might not be the traditional fare that usually gets the Imax treatment - The Dark Knight, or CG family 'toons, say - but it's got that massive, ticket-happy audience and a lot more action than the last two films (vampires vs werewolves: fight! fight! fight!), if Summit have been as faithful as in the past.

So when Eclipse arrives next June, according to executives from both companies, you'll be able to enjoy a more immersive experience and really feel like you're in the movie.

That's a proposition to either send your squee-o-meter off the charts, or make you consider a fontal lobotomy as a defense mechanism…
