If you're not excited about Eagle Eye, we can only assume that you haven't watched the trailers yet, so hope along over here and watch them at once. If you are already excited, here's another tidbit to whet your appetite: the film's poster (see below), now online with our good friends at JoBlo.

It's weirdly familiar looking, isn't it? The font of the title looks a bit I, Robot, and there's a whiff of Enemy of the State about this poster as well - but it's not all Will Smith related. Somehow it feels like you'd expect to see Tom Cruise's face on there as well, so maybe they're just trying to emphasise the whole Shia's-a-star-seriously thing. But perhaps it's also part of LaBeouf's attempt to pay homage to some of Hitchcock's best work. The premise is more than somewhat **North By **Northwest (doesn't the little running Shia with his lapels out look a bit Cary Grant? No? Just us? OK) and some of the shadow images are almost Saul Bass-ian. So y'see, what seems at first like a rather dull poster actually has quite a lot going on.

The film also stars Michelle Monaghan, Billy Bob Thornton, Rosario Dawson and Michael Chiklis, and is directed by Disturbia's DJ Caruso. In any case, the paranoia thriller will be out here on October 17, so make sure to take your meds before then.
