Dwayne Johnson, who is seemingly no longer ever known as The Rock except to his mum when he's being told off, has signed on to play the lead in The Tooth Fairy.
In the comedy, he'll play an average guy who is called upon to save the tooth fairy kingdom. This no doubt means wearing a tutu and looking exasperated. The film will be directed by make-believe-character specialist Michael Lembeck, who directed the first two Santa Clause movies.
The script has been written by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel, and Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia. Shooting is set to start in August for 20th Century Fox.
