With Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, the team of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jake Kasdan proved to be a fruitful pairing. Now the two are set to work together again on an upcoming Netflix movie, in another bulging muscle-flex from the streaming service. Kasdan will direct and Johnson will star in folk tale John Henry And The Statesmen.

Johnson tweeted about the project, not only hinting at the synopsis but revealing a very initial teaser trailer, soundtracked by Johnny Cash’s ‘The Man Comes Around’. “Honored to play a childhood hero of mine, JOHN HENRY & his disruptive band of fellow folklore legends from around the world,” Johnson wrote. “Netflix are the perfect partners and platform to build.”

Who knows how the hell this fits into Johnson’s ludicrously busy schedule. The star recently wrapped on Disney’s Jungle Cruise with Emily Blunt and Jack Whitehall, and then headed straight to London to film Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw with Jason Statham and director David Leitch. Not only that, but Kasdan and Johnson are both still set to make a Jumanji sequel – with a follow-up tweet from Johnson confirming that the Welcome To The Jungle follow-up will go into production a matter of weeks after Hobbs & Shaw wraps.
