The list of projects to which Dwayne Johnson is not attached continues to dwindle, even as we wonder whether he's somehow able to actually turn back time after a session in the iron paradise to fit everything in. The actor is now attached to a new, untitled action film being written by his Central Intelligence director Rawson Thurber.

This one is still at an early stage, with Thurber writing the film to direct and Beau Flynn, who worked on Hercules, San Andreas and the upcoming Baywatch with The Rock, on to produce. As for the plot? Largely a secret, though Deadline has heard it's being described as a Die Hard-style action thriller set in a Chinese megaskyscraper. Which means that A) whichever studio picks it up will probably be looking for some Chinese co-production investment and B) our Emma will end up watching it as part of some sort of charity film marathon a few years in the future.

A bidding war for the project has been won by Legendary{ =nofollow}, itself owned by a Chinese corporation – synergy!. As for the buddy comedy Central Intelligence, which stars Johnson alongside Kevin Hart, that will be out here on July 1. You can see the most recent trailer here.
