Having enjoyed success with his most recent film, Bad Times At The El Royale,Drew Goddard has his eye on a potential next job, if only (for now)

as a writer. He's on to adapt Nick Drnaso’s graphic novel Sabrina.

Nothing to do with the young witch currently enjoying televised life via Netflix, or the 1954 Billy Wilder film remade in 1995 by Sydney Pollack, this is instead the story of a man grieving following the disappearance of his girlfriend, who goes to live with an old friend. But as news of the woman's mysterious departure goes viral, the two men are are targeted by conspiracy theorists. Shades of Gone Girl, but the source material certainly carries a pedigree, with Drnaso's book the first graphic novel long-listed for the Man Booker Prize.

Goddard, who is considering directing the film if he ends up satisfied with how the script turned out, will also produce alongside RT Features and New Regency.
