Despite the fact that the first movie adaptation got a critical spanking and was a massive box office flop, it looks like Judge Dredd is set to make a return to cinemas in the near future. According to Variety, Comic publisher 2000 AD has just signed a deal to produce two new movies based around the Mega City 1 tough guy. The deal with independent producer Shoreline Entertainment will see two new movies, Judge Dredd: Dredd Reckoning, and **Judge Dredd: Possession ** The two films, which will see Dredd losing faith in the judicial system and having to face up to killing his partner after she becomes possessed by Judge Death, will be shot back to back. Shoreline principal Morris Ruskin, who is set to serve as a producer on the movies, is confident.
