DreamWorks and Nickelodeon, which can of course now work together thanks to corporate overlords Paramount, are teaming up to snatch the rights to kids’ book Camp Creepy Time by Gina Gershon – yes, from Showgirls – and her brother Dann.

The book demonstrates the correct amount of ice to be applied to the nip… No, wait… It actually focuses on an odd 13-year-old boy who must save his fellow campers from aliens infecting the staff. We're thinking it's a sort of pre-teen Faculty, but time will tell.

Richard LaGravenese, who is currently directing P.S. I Love You, is sniffing around the idea of writing the script and – if he likes what he writes – directing.

Oh, and because this is one of those Hollywood-buys-book stories, the tome itself won’t actually strut onto the shelves until next spring.
