Dougray Scott may be receiving rave reviews for his latest foray into the theatre, but when Empire Online spoke to him this week, he admitted that he was hankering after more film work. "I had a great time at the Donmar with Sam Mendes,' Dougray told us. 'I kinda got the theatre bug again but I will wait quite a few years before I get back on. It is tiring; it is really hard work. I am exhausted.' Fans of the actor who didn't catch him in London's tiny Donmar theatre can take heart from what he told us next. 'We are meant to be coming into the West End and Broadway next year,' he said. 'I am making no promises now; I'll see how I feel next year if I want to do it. Sam said he wants me to do a play every two years, so we'll see.' The lure of rainy London palls by comparison with the location for Dougray's next film. "I am doing Ripley's Game next with Liliani Covanni,' he told us. "We are filming north of Venice, I hear it is absolutely gorgeous, between Venice and Padua. It is a terrible job; I just can't stand going to all these wonderful places! 'John Malkovich is playing Ripley and I am playing Jonathon who is the other guy. He is a picture framer who works in Italy and he is dying of leukemia and Ripley asks him to commit these two murders and he decides to do it, because he needs the money. He is the most unlikely assassin in the world. He is weak and pompous and English, but he is very complex character. "I think Malkovich will be fantastic as Ripley, he is an amazing actor so I am looking forward to working with him.
