After a quick introduction to the characters and then a Christmas visit with them, the new trailer for The Secret Life Of Pets brings some more of the story into focus.
Pets follows the animal inhabitants of a Manhattan building, who find all sorts of ways to amuse themselves when their human owners aren't around. Our focus here is Max (Louis C.K.) a smart rescue terrier used to being the centre of attention in his home. But he's finding this particular day more challenging than usual thanks to the arrival of mongrel Duke (Eric Stonestreet), and a mishap has the pair find themselves out in the wilds of the New York streets where they’ll have to stop cunning bunny Snowball (Kevin Hart) from turning the tables on humanity. Albert Brooks is voicing a pet named Tiberius, while Lake Bell is sarcastic kitty Chloe.
With Ellie Kemper, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan and Hannibal Buress also in the voice cast, this one hails from Despicable Me veteran Chris Renaud directing alongside Yarrow Cheney and the script is by regulars Brian Lynch, Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. The Secret Life Of Pets will be out in the UK on June 24.
