Disney Plans Villain-Centric Drama For New Streaming Service

Disney is certainly going to have a lot of shows and films to shove into our eyeballs once its new Disney+ streaming service launches later this year. Yet another series is in the works, with classic villains such as Snow White's Evil Queen/Witch, Beauty And The Beast's The Beast and The Little Mermaid's Ursula taking the spotlight.

Michael Seitzman, who has worked on shows including Quantico and Code Black is on to write a series based on Serena Valentino's books, which fall under the Book Of Enchantment banner.

While we'd question the Beast being an actual villain (for all his scary countenance and anger issues, isn't he a misunderstood romantic hero?), it's far from the first time that villains have had more to do than simply scheme and be defeated: baddies got their due in Once Upon A Time and Disney has already made two Descendants TV movies about the teen kids of classic villains. Still this could be fun...
