The latest chapter in Wolverine's saga, Logan – which may well be Hugh Jackman's last time in the claws – is fast approaching us. And director James Mangold, who has been offering looks at the film via photographs he took on set for months now, has posted three more striking images, including the one of Jackman above.
Jackman himself used social media to confirm the basic synopsis for the movie, which finds a battle-scarred, aging Logan caring for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in a hideout just south of the Mexican border in the near future. It's a world where no mutant has reportedly been born for more than two decades, yet our hero's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutants arrives, pursued by dark forces.
This mysterious young mutant is Laura, played by Dafne Keane, who appears to boast similar abilities to Logan himself, and some very familiar weapons...
The stage is set for an unlikely family to bond in the face of huge danger, especially from the likes of Boyd Holbrook's Donald Pierce and the people he's working for...
Logan will be out on 3 March.
