Gareth Edwards is in the process of adding another actor to his cast for Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One. According to Variety, Diego Luna is now in talks for one of the lead roles alongside Felicity Jones, Riz Ahmed and Ben Mendelsohn.
Edwards showed up at the Star Wars Celebration convention in California recently to offer some more details about the movie, which will be set between Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope, and features a group of rebel fighters pulling off a daring plan to steal the schematics for the first Death Star.
Luna appears to be close to a role as one of those brave rebel types, serving alongside Jones and Ahmed, while Mendelsohn will be bringing his intensity to the main villain. Edwards is reportedly looking to build a larger ensemble for this one, with its mission dynamic resembling something more like** The Dirty Dozen** than your average **Star Wars **movie. The film is set to arrive in the UK on December 16, 2016.
As for Luna, he’s recently directed Mr. Pig and will be seen in Blood Father. He’s also attached to co-star in The Bad Batch.
