At this point, we really are just inching towards the concept of Die Hard With A Zimmer Frame as Fox is talking to writer Skip Woods about a new, fifth John McClane outing.
Woods’ CV to date doesn’t exactly inspire confidence, at least not for fans – he worked on Hitman,** X-Men Origins: Wolverine** and Swordfish, though it’s possible he’s earned release from Movie Jail for his work on The A-Team. We’ll reserve judgement on that one until we see it.
But given that Die Hard 4.0 (or Live Free And Die Hard if you’re reading this in America) made $378 million worldwide, you can understand the studio thinking that this cash cow has a little life left in it yet.
With nothing locked in yet, it’s still at the embryonic stage, but we believe we can confidently predict that any finished film will feature Bruce Willis in a filthy vest fighting some crazed criminal with a complicated plan.
