Now back on track – albeit for a compacted, final season – following the fallout of the Kevin Spacey sexual misconduct scandal, House Of Cards has started filming its sixth run of episodes. Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear are joining the cast as it enters the home stretch.
Robin Wright's Claire Underwood will become the full focus of Season 6, which will comprise eight episodes. She'll be dealing with the complexities and challenges of leading the US in the wake of her husband's (and her own) actions. The likes of Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver are all back, while Lane and Kinnear's characters are mostly mysterious, though Variety has learned that they're siblings.
There's no date for the final season to hit Netflix yet, but with the cameras rolling, the episodes could be ready for later this year or early 2019.
Lane will be seen in Amazon TV series The Romanoffs and in Steven Knight's new big screen thriller Serenity. Kinnear has films such as Strange But True and The Red Sea Diving Resort headed our way.
