The Year of the Zombie continues as that granddaddy of all zombies, George A Romero, steps back into the fray with Diamond Dead, a rather fabulous sounding mixture of rock and the living dead. Rumours have been circulating for months that Ridley and Tony Scott's Scott Free Productions was connected with the project, but it has now been confirmed that the Scotts are indeed producing Romero's latest. The film is a black comedy that tells the story of a highly average rock band whose hopes of stardom are dashed when they are killed. Or are they? The young woman responsible for their deaths makes a deal with the devil, and the band begins to enjoy overnight success
