On a news day that's not so much glacially slow as geologically slow, you'll have to forgive us for reporting on the completely unsubstantiated rumour that Diablo Cody could be involved with the Playboy movie, as reported by Hugh Hefner on his personal twitter.
The movie is set to tell the story of Playboy-founder Hefner's life, with Brett Ratner attached to direct and Brian Grazer producing. John Hoffman, who worked on this year's Oscars as well as monster comedy Igor, is already attached as screenwriter, but it could be that Cody will be doing another draft, tweaking the dialogue - or, of course, just meeting Hef for a chat.
If she is writing the movie, it seems like another prong in Hefner's recent efforts to turn Playboy into a cuddly teen-friendly brand: see also TV show The Girls Next Door or teen comedies like The House Bunny and **Miss March **(or, if you prefer, don't). In any case, if we hear more, or if this is confirmed, we'll let you know.
