Halloween is just around the corner, which means the supermarkets have been stuffed with spooky seasonal trinkets for ages and our minds are on trick-or-treating and the associated scares. So it makes sense to announce a new horror movie in development, with Dermot Mulroney starring in Trick.
My Bloody Valentine and Drive Angry director Patrick Lussier is behind this one, which finds a serial killer descending on a small town each year to wreak havoc and slaughter people in gruesome style. Given that he strikes in a different jurisdiction each year, no one thinks it could be the same killer, except for detective Mike Denver (Mulroney), who has tangled with him once before...
Lussier also wrote the script with regular collaborator Todd Farmer, but there are no details on when it might hit screens. As for Mulroney, he's appearing in Amazon TV drama Homecoming alongside Julia Roberts, and has just worked with Lussier on an episode of new horror anthology series Into The Dark.
