Depp Dons Doublet

Johnny Depp has teamed up with the Britpack stars of film production company Natural Nylon for Marlowe. The film, a biopic of the Elizabethan playwright, will star Depp in the title role and Jude Law as William Shakespeare. It will explore the relationship between the two men and also investigate the longstanding theory that Marlowe actually wrote some of Shakespeare's plays. Another aspect of Marlowe's life to be examined is the possibility that he was gay. John Maybury, who previously directed Love Is The Devil, will direct, and filming is set to begin in March next year on locations in London and Italy.
