Catherine Deneuve is throwing herself into another passionate on-screen affair.
In French drama Après Lui, she’ll play Camille, a woman devastated by the death of her 22-year-old son in a car smash. But she’s strangely drawn to his best friend – who was driving the car when the accident happened – and kicks off a destructive relationship with him.
Gael Morel will direct from a script he co-wrote with Christophe Honore. "It's a very dense, substantial role for Catherine Deneuve, and it is also a different, more mainstream film for Gael Morel," producer Laurent Lavole told Variety.
