Not content tangling with a terrifying habit-wearer in The Nun, Demián Bichir is clearly ready
for something a little bigger in the fear department. He's now joining the cast of Godzilla Vs Kong.
You're Next and The Guest's Adam Wingard is preparing to direct the film, which is still shrouded in mystery beyond the obvious clue in the title. We predict the big beasts will have a scrap before either A) forming a tag-team wrestling duo to take on other monsters, B) becoming a maverick cop partnership fighting crime or C) taking a long road trip to find Emperor Kong, King's dad, who never loved him the way the giant ape feels he deserved.
Bichir joins a cast that already includes returning Godzilla King Of The Monsters castmembers Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler and Ziyi Zhang, plus fellow monster franchise newcomers Julian Dennison and Brian Tyree Henry. There's no indication yet what role Bichir will play.
Godzilla: King Of The Monsters is due in our cinemas on 31 May next year, directed by Michael Dougherty. Godzilla Vs Kong, which Wingard will start shooting in November, has a release date set for 22 May, 2020.
