While we learned just last week about new scenes shot for the PG-13 Deadpool 2 re-release, there are many more details now arriving. Including the fact that it's called Once Upon A Deadpool.

Studio 20th Century Fox now plans to start showing the edited movie (with the violence and language toned down to reach a wider audience) in the States on 12 December for a run that will end on Christmas Eve. The release is also going to include a charitable aspect, as a dollar from each ticket bought will go to the F**k Cancer campaign, renamed Fudge Cancer for the fundraising effort.

"Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006," star/producer Ryan Reynolds told Deadline on Monday. "I’ve said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said 'Yes' on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining..." The extra scenes, shot guerrilla style by Reynolds, Savage, writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, director David Leitch and a small crew, will riff on Savage's wrap-around scenes from The Princess Bride.

"While my participation in this film was anything but voluntary, I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab," Savage has said.

As we write this, there's no sign of the re-release on the UK release schedule, but we've requested confirmation from the studio.
