Deadpool never knows when to shut up – it’s kind of his whole thing. It’s miraculous, then, that the merc with a mouth was ever editable into theatrical-cut portions anyway. And now with Deadpool 2 approaching its home release, Wade Wilson’s sequel is getting a new extended cut to allow its title hero to wreak more havoc than a cinema could ever handle in a new version that is, as Ryan Reynolds says on Instagram, ‘longer, actionier, and spandexier’.
The new version is titled Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut, and American fans will be able to get a hold of it digitally from 7 August, and on Blu-ray from 21 August. It also seems like the new cut will be screened at the San Diego Comic-Con later this month.
UPDATE: Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut now has a confirmed UK release – it's coming out digitally on 7 September, and on Blu-ray on 17 September. Remember to fortify your fourth walls in anticipation.
