The remake of Day Of The Dead has found itself a director. Steve Miner, who’s no stranger to horror, having tackled the likes Halloween H20 and Lake Placid.

George A Romero’s cult favourite followed a group of scientists and military personnel besieged in an underground bunker, one of the few remaining strongholds in a world overrun with flesh-munching zombies. The situation turns desperate when the brain-loving corpses break in and wreak havoc on the scientists who have been experimenting on their fellow zombies.

Given the tweaks made to Dawn Of The Dead, expect the new Day to feature some changes.
