The world of corporate culture is usually a solid source of comedy, whether it’s the cringe factor of David Brent or the executive double-speak shown in Mike Judge’s classic Office Space.
Now Zathura's Dax Shepard is hoping that it will provide plenty of laughs for The Retreat, a new comedy to be directed by The Hot Chick’s Tom Brady.
The plot focuses on a baseball field hot dog vendor slumming his way through life who lands a job at a corporation. The down-home wisdom he picked up in the stands helps him rise through the ranks. But at a company retreat, he discovers that he’s the target of a disgruntled fellow employee.
Adding to the comedy value will be writers Alan Cohen and Alan Freedland, whose CV includes King Of The Hill.
