Kevin James really is the King of Queens, as not one, but two gorgeous leading ladies are announced for his new comedy The Zookeeper. In line for a piece of the big man are Rosario Dawson and Talladega Nights' Leslie Bibb.
The rom-com, produced by Adam Sandler's company Happy Madison, follows a bunch of zoo animals who attempt to teach their cuddly keeper a bit of animal magic for dating and mating so that he can tempt his ideal woman back. So essentially, expect plenty of Doctor Dolittle-ing around with a bit of **Animal Attraction **(remember when Wolverine did rom-coms?) thrown in for good measure.
Dawson is currently playing the perpetually put-down Persephone in Greek Gods go modern fantasy-comedy Percy Jackson, while Bibb has murder-comedy Miss Nobody, sex-fest A Good Old Fashioned Orgy and the much more serious thriller Law Abiding Citizen (with Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx) all coming up in the next year.
Sandler favourite Frank Coraci (The Wedding Singer, Click) will direct the film, written by the team behind **Norbit **(oh dear) Jay Scherick and David Ronn, along with Paul Blart: Mall Cop star James, and his King of Queens writers Rock Reuben and Nick Bakay.
The film will kick off shooting later this summer in sunny Boston and has already been pencilled in for a July 2010 release.
