Already promising to bring Jennifer Garner back to the small screen for the first time in a few years, new HBO comedy series Camping has now rounded up the first co-star for her. David Tennant will play her husband on the series.
Created by Girls duo Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner, Camping finds Garner as Kathryn, a controlling wife and mother in Los Angeles, who is far from the cheerful success story she appears to be. The series – which HBO is calling a limited series, but will probably extend if it's a success – starts on the weekend of her husband Walt's 45th birthday. A planned trip to get back to nature turns chaotic when her sister, former best friend and an unusual tagalong start to test the seemingly perfect marriage.
As friendships and relationships crumble, there's crime on the mind. Camping has no set launch date yet, but Tennant will be back on cinema screens in Bad Samaritan, out in the US on 4 May though yet to lock down a UK release.
