He's known for the likes of debut The Myth of the American Sleepover, successful horror It Follows and the offbeat, under seen Under The Silver Lake. Now David Robert Mitchell is tackling the genre that has consumed the box office: superheroes. MGM has him gearing up a film called Heroes And Villains.
As seems the norm for films such as this (at least ones without a comicbook background we can use to figure out potential plot beats), the story is a secret beyond the fact that it'll have Mitchell's own unique spin on the concept, given that he's writing and directing.
The next step for Mitchell, now the film has a studio home, will be to lock in a cast and figure out a shooting schedule; at least when it's safe to do so.
