Riding high on the awards acclaim, American Hustle co-writer/director David O. Russell is trying to choose his next project. Like most in-demand directors, he has a pile of scripts he’s considering, but according to Deadline, he’s adding an untitled film about single-mum-turned-miracle-mop-inventor Joy Mangano to the list.

Given that this is the rags-to-riches tale of a tough, outspoken New Jersey mother of three who hit upon the idea of a self-wringing mop and swapped three low income jobs for a fortune when her idea became a Home Shopping Network sensation, you just know he’s got only one person in mind to play the lead: Bradley Cooper in a dress.

Wait, no. Jennifer Lawrence. Yes, while it’s early days for the project, you’ve got to figure that Lawrence, who won a Best Actress Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook with Russell directing and is nominated as Best Supporting Actress for Hustle, would at least agree to take a meeting.

From the sounds of it, shooting would have to wait a while, as J.Law is busy with her **Hunger Games **duties and other movies, and Russell is still developing various other scripts as well.

Bridesmaids co-writer Annie Mumolo is behind this script, which Fox 2000 is hoping that Russell will choose next. It’s currently untitled, but since Mangano became known as the Mother Of Invention, we’d be shocked – shocked, we tell you! – if someone hasn’t already pitched that as a catchy name.
