It would seem like the latest entry in the Final Destination series (which we really want to call Final Destination 5, but New Line keeps insisting will be titled 5nal Destination) is looking to up the laugh value, adding comedy legend David Koechner to the cast.
Koechner joins the likes of Nicholas D’Agosto, PJ Byrne and Ellen Wroe, who are already on board the film, which follows the latest tale of people who mange to cheat death – in this case as a suspension bridge collapses – only for the reaper to catch up to them through a variety of overly complicated accidents.
D’Agosto, last seen in Fired Up, is a man who just can’t seem to make decisions, Wroe is a snooty snob, and Byrne is a kleptomaniac. Koechner, meanwhile, is a clueless executive type.
Miles Fisher will be playing the main character, and fans of the franchise can rejoice at the news that Tony Todd is back as Mr Bludworth.
The Heat Vision blog brought the confirmation of Koechner and co’s casting, but the credit for first ferreting out the rumours goes to Bloody Disgusting.
Steven Quale is directing the 3D pic and will crank his cameras starting next month.
