Sandra Bullock has been loosely attached to political drama-comedy **Our Brand Is Crisis since late last year, back when she was out stumping for Gravity’s award campaign and talked to co-star George Clooney about the film, one he was producing. Things have moved on since then, and David Gordon Green has, according to Variety, won the job of directing the movie, a move that in turn has spurred Bullock to fully commit to it.

Crisis is adapted from Rachel Boynton’s 2005 documentary, which saw President Clinton’s former advisors James Carville and Stan Greenberg applying what they had learned in the trenches of American politics to a campaign in Bolivia, and the effects it has on the process.

How exactly Bullock’s character will fit into the film is not clear right now, though chances are the plot will follow similar lines, ahd she might be a political specialist heading to South America to help with a campaign. Peter Straughan wrote the script, and Clooney will produce alongside Grant Heslov via their Smokehouse Pictures company for Warner Bros.

Bullock is also considering Sony’s Tupperware Unsealed, which has **The Help’**s Tate Taylor chronicling another real-life story, that of Tupperware sales whizz Brownie Wise.

As for Green, he’s been busy of late with several films. His most recent was Nicolas Cage drama Joe, which hit our screens last month, but he also has Manglehorn, starring Al Pacino and Holly Hunter, set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival next month.
