David Gordon Green – who wrote and directed George Washington and All The Real Girls – is indulging his inner ‘80s geek with his next film.

Green has sold Mr Machine to Universal and Imagine. It’s apparently a throwback to the high-concept family comedies of the 1980s, which sees three braniac types construct a robot with world domination on its electronic mind. Robots, eh? You just can’t trust those metallic bastards.
