Michael Bay already has Ryan Reynolds aboard his new action thriller, Six Underground. If the dealmaking process works out, Dave Franco will be joining him.
Written by the Deadpool duo of Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Six Underground is mostly being kept under wraps in terms of its plot, but Collider has learned that it'll tonally feel like Reese and Wernick's Merc work mixed with a dash of Mission: Impossible. Reynolds plays a fighter named One who leads a group of four men and two women on a mission to stop some unknown evil.
Franco is in talks for the character of Six, and the movie has Netflix's backing. Bay should have the cameras rolling this September and it'll hit the streaming service next year.
As for his next jobs, he's playing Montgomery Clift in Zeroville and has a role in Moonlight director Barry Jenkins' If Beale Street Could Talk.
