It continues to be a busy time for Dave Bautista, between his Marvel responsibilities as Drax the Destroyer and the various plans he has to keep his career motoring. He's adding another movie, but one at least that means he can rock up to a recording booth in his skivvies: he's joined the cast of Jamie Foxx's animated pic Groove Tails.
Foxx is producing and lending his voice to the film, which is apparently set in a world where mice compete in Step Up-style dance competitions. Yep, you didn't even know that happened, did you? David Attenborough never covered it, so it isn't real, right? Jingle Punks, who created music for the Step Up series, will be providing the audio.
Johnny Mack developed the story and kicked off the script work, which has since seen re-writes from Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow. Cameron Hood, who has been an animator on DreamWorks projects such as How To Train Your Dragon, is stepping up (see what we did there... Oh, never mind) to direct for Imprint Entertainment.
Batista will be back on our screens as Drax for Avengers: Infinity War and has been shooting the follow-up. He's also had roles in Hotel Artemis and the sequel to Escape Plan.
