Cue up the Imperial March! Redouble your efforts quick sharp! He’s back! Yes, Darth Vader will once more strike fear and terror (and wheeziness) into the hearts of Rebels and ship commanders everywhere when he makes a return to the screen for a special extended repeat airing of the Star Wars Rebels launch episode Spark Of Rebellion.
This will be no ordinary appearance by the Sith Lord. The team has recruited the only acceptable name when it comes to voicing Vader.
“We wanted to do something special for the ABC broadcast,” says show co-creator Dave Filoni. "We’ve added a scene which gives audiences insight into the Inquisitor and includes a cameo by Darth Vader voiced by the distinguished actor James Earl Jones.”
Following the success of the episode’s launch on Disney XD (enough to guarantee a second season renewal already), the company is airing the first episode again on US broadcast network ABC on Sunday October 26 with the additional scene added in.
The show, which is set in the years between** Episodes III** and IV, follows a ragtag group of young warriors trying to outwit the Empire even as the dark grip on the galaxy intensifies. It airs in the UK on our version of Disney XD, but there’s no information yet as to whether the extended episode will screen. Expect force chokings aplenty if it doesn’t show up…
