Tombstone finds Trejo as Guerrero Hernandez, the leader of the fearsome Blackwater* gang of outlaws. He hatches a plan to break his half brother Red (Hall) out of the slammer and takes him along on a looting spree in the mining town of Edendale. Trouble is, Red double- crosses him and Guerrero ends up dead.
But a little thing like mortality rarely stops a Danny Trejo character and, after doing a deal with the devil (Rourke), he rises from the dead a year later and unleashes bloody revenge across the town of Tombstone. Thank goodness he picked that place and not Rainbowville or Happy Town…
Reine, who last made straight-to-DVD sequel The Scorpion King 3: Battle For Redemption, will be working from Shane Kuhn and Brendan Cowles’ script and he’ll kick off shooting next week.
