Danny Elfman has revealed that he is signed up to compose the score for Terminator Salvation, and has already started work on the job.
Elfman, who has seen a cut of the film and described it succinctly as "exciting", has long experience in scoring big action movies: even leaving aside his regular Tim Burton collaborations, there's the Spider-Man movies, Wanted, The Kingdom and Men in Black.
However, one tidbit that may worry Terminator fans is that he is not yet sure whether he'll be using Brad Fiedel's original theme. "If it comes up and seems appropriate, we will [use it]," he said.
