Though it appeared that Danny Boyle was putting aside thoughts of directing the next Bond film and was switching instead to work on a musical movie with Richard Curtis, the director has turned around and admitted that 007 is still very much on his mind.

Talking with Metro, Boyle confirmed reports that he's developing an idea for a new Bond adventure with semi-regular collaborator John Hodge. “We are working on a script right now, he says. "And it all depends on that really. I am working on a Richard Curtis script at the moment. We hope to start shooting that in 6 or 7 weeks. Then Bond would be right at the end of the year. But we are working on them both right now."

He's naturally hesitant to give any details at this point about a potential 25th official film – not that Eon Productions would let him anyway – but it is at least from the mouth of the man himself. Still, we can't ignore the fact that he says it all depends on the Curtis film and whether the Bond team would truly want to push back the release date of the next film should it come yo that. Will we see a Danny Boyle Bond film? Right now, the answer appears to be "maybe".
