Danielle Panabaker has been cast as the female lead in Marcus Nispel's remake of Friday the 13th. She'll play the adventurous girlfriend of an alpha male who gathers together a group who will eventually become considerably more dead. The alpha male role will be played by Travis Van Winkle, which may be the least alpha male name in the history of the world. Also joining the cast are Jonathan Sadowski and Aaron Yoo.
You may not have heard of Panabaker and the name didn't ring any bells with us until we realised she was one of the leads in Sky High, which, oddly, most of the younger Empire staff watched together this weekend (don't ask why). Obviously, we then watched some Fassbinder for balance.
