It's been a while since we've heard much about Westworld producer Lisa Joy's directorial debut, Reminiscence, but as pre-production continues, she's building up the cast. Warcraft and Into The Badlands' Daniel Wu is the latest addition.

Reminiscence is set in a future where the oceans have risen and much of the population of Miami has switched to a nocturnal schedule. This is also a world where people such as Nick Bannister (Hugh Jackman) – who Joy describes as a "PI of the mind" – uses technology to dig into people's memories in order to help them with problems. When a mysterious woman (Rebecca Ferguson) arrives in his office seeking help with lost keys, the stage is set for an epic romance, one cut short when she vanishes. Nick will have to unpack his lover's past to find her, facing danger along the way...

Wu's yet-to-be-announced character will be a thorn in Jackman's side, and he's joining a cast that also includes Thandie Newton. The film should be shooting soon, but it doesn't yet have a release date. Westworld, meanwhile, will return to TV screens next year.
