Daniel Craig To Move To His Dream House?

After the high octane thrills of Bond and the Bielski partisans, Daniel Craig may be taking a mini-break from all the running around, punching and growling for an equally fraught but less physically demanding role in psychological thriller Dream House.

Although no deal is in place, Craig is in talks to play a man who moves his family to a new home in an idyllic town, only to find the place inconveniently haunted by its former inhabitants, who were brutally murdered there. Shades of The Shining perhaps and, with the very talented Jim Sheridan (In The Name Of The Father, My Left Foot) attached to direct, it should be a good chance for Craig to flex his serious-thesp muscles.

Obviously keen to avoid being pige007nholed, Craig has already signed up for a stint on Broadway this year. He'll be co-starring with Hugh Jackman in A Steady Rain, a drama about two cop whose friendship is stretched to breaking point when they're involved in a violent incident. No doubt several more violent incidents will follow soon after, in the shape of Bond 23. With the film's release date likely to be set for late 2010, it's safe to expect more from Craig soon...
