It's not often you find out something new about an actor's future work from a story on their lawyer – especially not with the secrecy that Marvel likes to drape about everything – but that's what has happened, with a report that Black Panther's Danai Gurira will bring Dora Milaje general Okoye to a Disney+ series as well as sequel movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Though the story doesn't specify and actually describes an "origin" series, it's not hard to connect that concept with the show that Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is working on for the streaming service.
And we've already seen the Dora Milaje on the small screen, since Florence Kasumba showed up to great effect as Ayo in The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, so we know that Team Marvel is only too happy to have the formidable fighting force show up outside of the Panther films.
Regardless, any chance to see more of Okoye kicking arse on screen is fine by us. While there are no real details on any potential spin-off shows, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled for release in July next year.
