Here's something you don't see every day: an actor has been cast in two different projects to play the same real-life person years apart. In this case, it's Damon Herriman, who we recently reported as joining Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood as Charles Manson, and will also portray the man in Season 2 of Mindhunter.
Yes, it appears that both Tarantino and David Fincher looked at Herriman and thought, "he's the perfect Charles Manson!" Which we're not sure how to take in terms of acting compliment or worries about an innate psychology.
Collider brings word that Herriman has already filmed scenes for the serial killer profiling drama's second run of episodes, playing Manson in the 1980s when he was already long behind bars.
In Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, he'll play the notorious cult leader in 1969 Los Angeles, when the Manson Family brought fear and murder to the city. The film will be out on 26 July next year, and Netflix has yet to announce a date for the next season of Mindhunter.
