With comedy sequel Daddy's Home 2 boosting the dad count with the addition of Mel Gibson and John Lithgow, we do tend to wonder what will happen if there's a third film. Daddy's Home: Mother's Day, perhaps. Regardless, the new trailer for the follow-up is now online with all the festive flavour you could hope for as Christmas rushes towards us like a tinsel-covered locomotive.
This time around, we're back with Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) and Brad (Will Ferrell), the one-time rivals who are now able to handle the bio-dad/step-dad situation amicably. But things are complicated when they decide to share Christmas and invite their own fathers. Cue the arrival of Kurt (Gibson), Dusty's even tougher father, who has no time for the changes his son has gone through. Then there's Brad's father (Lithgow), a man who never met an emotion he didn't want to experience, and who seems to have a very close relationship with his son...
The scene is set for more competitive chaos, especially when Kurt brings John Cena's Roger into the mix. Daddy's Home 2 is out on 22 November, with previews on the 18th and 19th of the month.
