John Cusack has signed up to star in 1408, based on a Stephen King short story about a writer who investigates haunted graveyards and houses and decides to move on to hotels. Surprise surprise, he encounters proper scares when he stays in notorious hotel room 1408.
The film will be directed by **Derailed's **Mikael Hafstrom with a script by **The People VS Larry Flynt **scribes Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. Filming is due to start in the summer.
