According to co-executive producer Lisa Joy, she and co-showrunner Jonathan Nolan are treating each season of Westworld as its own chapter within the unfolding larger narrative. Season 1 was The Maze and now the second is The Door. And that theme runs through a new teaser, which has debuted online and can be found lurking at this link.
The new footage was released as part of a mysterious new marketing campaign for the show, following the arrival of the new teaser poster (see below), in which lurked hidden codes to decipher the teaser's location.
It's all part of the show's continuing story, which will see hosts such as Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Maeve (Thandie Newton) bringing bloody revolution to the world of the park and looking to find what's beyond while the humans try to survive their creations rebelling against them. It promises a lot of new potential stories and much potential for bloody violence.
Westworld returns to the US on 22 April, with a simulcast early on 23 April in the UK, followed by a repeat that evening.
