Off the back of strong work in Da 5 Bloods and Lovecraft Country, Jonathan Majors is a man very much in demand at the moment. Now Michael B. Jordan and team Creed have him in their sights as the new ring rival for Adonis Creed in the third film from the Rocky spin-off series.

According to Deadline, it's still early days in the negotiation stage, especially since Majors has a busy schedule these days, but he'd certainly be a good match for Jordan's energy as the driven athlete.

Jordan is stepping up to direct this latest Creed entry, working from a script by Zach Baylin and Keenan Coogler, with Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad returning, while Sylvester Stallone has decided not to come back this time as Rocky Balboa (though let's not rule out a cameo).

As for Major's increasingly full calendar, he's playing Kang The Conqueror in Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania for Marvel.
