We had the latest teaser trailer for Insidious director James Wan’s latest haunted house chiller The Conjuring a short while ago. We've also had one poster already, but now the latest image can be seen below in all its spooky glory.
Based on a real case handled by renowned supernatural investigators Ed & Lorraine Warren, The Conjuring is the ’70-set tale of the Perron family who move into what they hope will be the perfect home, only for things to take a terrifying turn.
Roger (Ron Livingston) and Carolyn (Lili Taylor) Perron buy the farmhouse to share with their daughters. At first it just seems like your ordinary fixer-upper that could use some TLC from willing owners. But then the strange noises and inexplicable disturbances start. Soon the Perrons realise that the place is crammed with spooks, with the worst of the lot being Bathsheba Sherman, the “godforsaken soul” of a witch hanged on the property (if you pay close attention to the shadows on the poster, you might spot her).
With regular authorities seemingly unable to help, the Perrons turn to Ed and Lorraine (played in the movie by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) but can even they help?
Wan directed this one working from a screenplay by Chad and Carey Hayes. The Conjuring is out on July 19.
